We welcome you to select the membership type that best suits your application. Membership subscriptions cover a yearly membership for a key to the Garden and auto renew year on year. Each membership is entitled to one key. Membership subscriptions run for one year starting on the date of activation of your application.

We are bound to only grant 100 keys per year to off square members (both commercial and residential) and we have reached our capacity for the 2021 season. This is a condition of our lease, and not something we can control, membership to the Garden is on a first come first serve basis. If you would like to be notified when a key does become available please email us at membershipatthesquare@gmail.com and we will happily register your interest.

All memberships require a €150.00 deposit for their key as well as agreement to our Membership Rules. For new members, please note that we are awaiting a fresh delivery of keys so there will be a slight delay on your key being issued. Thank you for your understanding.

For additional clarification: An Owner is a person/body who is beneficially entitled to the freehold interest in one or more of the 69 houses on Fitzwilliam Square or in possession of long leases (21 years or more) on a house on the Square. Only owner members are eligible to be voted onto the Board of the Association.

All other members are Tenant/Associate members and can reside either on or off Fitzwilliam Square.

On Square Residential Full House Owner - €800.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) This subscription is for those who own property on the Square itself as their residential premises or have a long term lease (21+ years) on a property directly on the Square. Only Owner Members are eligible to be voted onto the Board of Administration.

On Square Commercial Full Building Owner - €1,050.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Members who own the building and/or have a business within the space. These members are entitled to be on the board and have voting rights. Example: You own a full premises and sublet it to other companies and/or it is your place of employment

On Square Residential Tenant - €400.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Members who are residential tenants of a property directly on the square owned by someone else. Example: Occupying a flat within a Georgian with an address of Fitzwilliam Square North, South, East or West

On Square Commercial Tenant - €600.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Members who are commercial tenants of a property directly on the square owned by someone else.
Example: You rent an office space in a larger Georgian that has a Fitzwilliam Square address
**Where a large corporate or institution with more than 19 persons employed or involved
applies for membership then the above rates do not apply and are to be decided by the board on a case by case basis.

If a business becomes a member, for the benefit of staff, then the subscription may be tax deductible and this should be independently advised upon by a tax consultant

Off Square Commercial Associate Member - €600.00 (EUR) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Members who are commercial tenants of a property not located on the square.
Example: You rent an office space off of Fitzwilliam Square
